Early Texas Settlers 1700s-1800s

This collection of eight books provides an extensive overview of early Texas, ranging from genealogical sketches to passenger lists and settlement history. It references around 94,000 early settlers and is particularly valuable because it covers the period before Texas became a state and before the establishment of federal record-keeping. For instance, even though the first federal census in Texas was in 1850, this collection includes a virtual census for 1846, reconstructed from poll lists, offering a unique glimpse into early Texan history.
