Diane L Junk asked 12 months ago

Oral History provided the Surname was Scot-Irish.  My Immigrant Ancestor to Philadelphia, USA from Northern Ireland in the 1820’s was Thomas Junk.  Though few in number, the Surname still exists in Scotland and Northern Ireland.  The earliest record of Immigration to USA that I have been able to locate was James Junk aboard the Henry and Francis in 1685.  He was a Presbyterian Covenanter deported from Leith, Scotland.
