I am looking for the last name Klutz.  My family spells it with one ‘T in the last name. it could be listed with two T. The information I have found seems to lead to a white man name Warren Klutz and a black woman name Lizzie Bost or Elizabeth Bost. They had two sons: John and Ernest Bost. However, at some point, John Bost started going by John Klutz. John was married twice. Once to a Daisy Barnhardt in 1891 with the name John Bost. There is no other information on his first wife. The second marriage to was Ada Johnston (maiden name Cladwell) on Nov. 18, 1908. There lived in Rowan, Cabarrus and Mecklenburg Counties. I am trying to find out what happened to Warren Klutz and confirmation that he was white. What happened to the first wife and if there were children? What happened to Ernest Bost? Did he marry? Have children? He may have been forced to join the army via prison.
