EBRECHT/EBREGHT

EBRECHT/EBREGHT   I would like to determine whether or not Minnie Ebrecht was married to my grandfather, William P Miller (b.1858/1859 in Rochester NY). Minnie (Wilhemina? Mina?) was born in 1858 (in Germany? IL?) to Christian (1827 – 1904) & Wilhemina (Bornemann) Ebrecht (1827 – 1891). She had one brother, Herman Frederick (1867-1952). Herman married Lucy Chapman in 1891.   A Federal Census record for 1860 lists William living with his parents, Christopher Miller (1826 – ?) & Henrietta Rolfs Miller (1832 – ?) in Kendall County. Records show that William remained in the Kendall & Kane county area until at least 1892.    An 1880 Federal Census for Bristol Township, Kendall County, lists Christian & Wilhemina, Mina J Ebrecht (age 22; single) & Herman as members of the household. Illinois, County Marriage Records, 1800 – 1940: Film # 001480755 : Minnie Ebrecht, age 34, born about 1858, married Will P Miller on 8 Sept 1892 in Kane County. Christ Ebrecht & Wilhelmina Bormann are listed as parents. Film #001481109 : Minnie Ebreght, age 34, born about 1858, married William P Miller in 1892 in Kane County. Christ & Wilhelmina Ebreght are listed as parents. Minnie Ebrecht Miller is buried in the Aurora Township Cemetery, Kane County. (Find A Grave #43400474) along with Christian Ebrecht (1827 – 1904), Wilhelmina Ebrecht (1827 – 1891) & Herman (1867 – 1952). I don\’t know when or how she died. I haven’t been able to find any records of Minnie’s death or an obituary. I don’t know if she died while married to my great grandfather or if they had divorced.  An additional note: In his Will, probated on 2 July 1908, Christian Ebrecht mentions \”his late daughter, Minnie, as well as his granddaughters, Lizzie Fickensher, Mena Fickensher, Addie Pratt & a son-in-law, Henry Fickensher\”. I don\’t know who they are or how they fit into the puzzle. I wonder if Addie Pratt is Minnie’s daughter but I don’t have anything to prove it. Yet. If Minnie Ebrecht & William were married, she would be his second wife. He & Minnie Ebrecht would have married about 6 months after the death of his first wife. (William\’s first wife was Minnie E Henning (3 Jan 1864 – 6 Mar 1892), daughter of Cornelius Jones Henning & Sarah Elizabeth Smith. William & Minnie Henning married on 3 Sept 1885 in Kendall County. I don\’t know where he lived or what he did from 1892 up until he married my great grandmother, Antonia Boudar in Pender, Thurston County NE.   Please contact me if you have any information. Thank you!
