Emil Caiar was born in either New York or New Jersey.  At age 16 was living in Ohio and working on a farm.  He married Eva McKim and they had a son Homer.  In the census says that Emil’s father was French.   We would like to know how and why Emil ended up in Ohio. I suspect that his parent had died and possibly was sent to one of is mother’s relatives. Or was on the orphan train. I have not been able to find his parents.
